Durante la Conferenza del 1943 venne redatto il testo dell'Atto Costitutivo dell'UNESCO, la Costituzione dell'UNESCO, che e’ stato firmato il 16 novembre 1945 ed entrato in vigore il 4 novembre del 1946. Il Giappone e’ entrato a far parte dell'UNESCO il 2 luglio 1951.

11月4日は、ユネスコ憲章記念日です。1946(昭和21)年11月4日、ユネスコ憲章が発効し、
国連教育科学文化機関(ユネスコ)が発足しました。日本は1951(昭和26)年7月2日に加盟しました。
ユネスコ（UNESCO）とは国連教育科学文化機関(United Nations Educational Sxientific and Cultural Organization)の
頭文字をとった呼び名です。

November 4 is the anniversary of UNESCO Constitution. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was established on November 16, 1945 and came into force on November 4, 1946. Japan joined UNESCO on July 2, 1951.
